Bone Chapel - Faro 06
My 6 year old heard the Portuguese gentleman say 'Over there is the Chocolate Buns'. She was somewhat bemused when we arrived at the Chapel of Bones. This is an amazing place in the heart of Faro tucked away behind Igreja do Carmo. An 18th century Chapel built entirely with the remains of some 1,200 monks. The chapel is bizarre and hugely photogenic and empathized with the Goth in me. I particularly liked the light switch sitting awkwardly on this human structure.
